To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government the person responsible for licensing the Ward Union Carted Deer Hunt in Dunshaughlin, County Meath. Ciarán Cuffe. Ref No: 27764/03 REPLY Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government (Mr. Cullen): The licensing function referred to in the Question is vested in the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government under Section 26 of the Wildlife Act 1976 (as amended). This function has also been delegated to named officers of my Department through the authorisation provisions of section 72 of the Wildlife Act 1976 (as amended).
