Peter Mathews TD (Dublin South, Fine Gael) To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will ensure the Irish Greyhound Board is prevented from exporting greyhounds to China via a third country; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Following a meeting of my colleague Minister of State Shane McEntee, TD, with the Chairman and Chief Executive of Bord na gCon on 3rd May 2011, it was agreed that Bord na gCon would drop its proposal to export greyhounds to China.
