Shocking photos show why coursing must be banned
08 March 2006 Disturbing photos supplied to ICABS reveal the abuse hares are subjected to during coursing meets. The shocking images, taken at this year's coursing finals in Clonmel, show hares being mauled, tumbled and bitten by greyhounds. The Irish Council Against Blood Sports has renewed its appeal to Environment Minister, Dick Roche, to refuse further licences to the Irish Coursing Club.
Urgent Action Item Please contact Environment Minister, Dick Roche, and demand an end to coursing in Ireland. Tell the Minister that hares should be allowed to live free from the cruelty of coursing. Please also contact your local TDs and urge them to work for an end to coursing and all blood sports.
Minister Dick Roche
